Maritime Journal, the multimedia magazine for the European Commercial Marine industry, has published it’s highlights for this year’s Seawork Commercial Marine Conference – and the REAPsystems HEVIMA (Hybrid Electrical Vessel propulsion with Integrated Motor Assist) project, co-funded by Innovate UK, is showcased in a lead feature on hybrid power systems.
The article discusses the global challenge to develop alternative energy usage in the marine environment and the HEVIMA Project as a case in point, as demonstrated by the installation of the REAPsystems drop-in hybrid engine in The Kingsley II, Falmouth, Cornwall UK. REAPsystems founder Dr Dennis Doerffel will give the keynote address and present the HEVIMA project for ‘Future of Hybrid Propulsion’ at Seawork 2019 on Wednesday 12th June.
