Dr Dennis Doerffel speaks at the official opening of the Power Systems Laboratory

Dr Dennis Doerffel was one of the speakers at the Official Opening of the Power Systems Laboratory that took place on Monday 26th October at the University of South Wales, Pontypridd Campus. The new Laboratory is home to the University’s Centre for Automotive and Power Systems Engineering (CAPSE) - a specialist team whose dedication is to apply electric and hybrid technology in the 21st century motorsport and automotive industry through research and testing as well as supporting niche technology and power companies in Wales.

Based on REAP’s practical experiences out of 120+ projects worldwide in 12 years, Dennis presented challenges in system integration with respect to hybrid & electric propulsion systems and specified key pillars to success when it comes to electrifying propulsion systems.
